Dear Members of the Parish,
I am writing to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire parish community on the
passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis. The loss of such an influential figure is deeply felt not only
within the Church but also throughout the world.
Pope Francis was a beacon of hope and compassion, exemplifying the teachings of Christ
through his actions and words. His dedication to fostering peace, love, and understanding
among all people has left an indelible mark on our hearts and the history of the Church. As we
mourn his passing, we also celebrate the profound impact he made during his papacy, guiding
countless individuals on their spiritual journeys.
During this time of grief, I encourage the parish community to come together in prayer and
reflection, honoring the legacy of Pope Francis and seeking comfort in one another’s company.
May his example inspire us to continue the work he championed—spreading kindness,
advocating for the marginalized, and nurturing faith within our communities.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as we navigate this difficult period. I hope
you find solace in your shared memories and the teachings of Pope Francis, which will continue
to guide us in our lives and faith.
With deepest sympathy and prayers,
Howard Jones
